This week, in Singapore, I joined the Micron Quality Awards ceremony and had the honor to present Micron team members with our Values in Action awards. These awards recognize teams that exceptionally demonstrated one of our five core values: People, Innovation, Tenacity, Collaboration and Customer Focus. Awardees were selected for their efforts to develop innovative programs that improve operations, elevate other teams, and for creating a culture where all team members can thrive. In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, we hosted a panel discussion for team members on creating opportunities for Indigenous people in #STEM, featuring guests Michael Running Wolf, Co-founder of Mila - Institut québécois d'intelligence artificielle, and Sunny Myers, a proud citizen of the Lumbee and Sappony tribes. The event explored ways to uplift the community, including incorporating Indigenous languages into #AI and fostering a more engaging workplace. Through initiatives like the Micron Foundation's support of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) programs, which integrate Indigenous cultures and languages into engaging computer science activities for students, we continue to raise awareness about semiconductor education and future career opportunities among Indigenous students.
